The Zoo
We gathered up the kids and headed to the Zoo.
Jeremy has never been so this was extra special! He's read about elephants, giraffes, zebras, tigers and monkeys but has never seen them in real life.We gathered up the kids and headed to the Zoo.
He wasn't sure where we were going but he knew that it was something exciting!
This is one of those traditional "have to's" when you go to the zoo:
walking up the posts
walking up the posts
When we walked through the front gates we could hear the monkeys hollering it up.
The kids were so excited that we could hardly get there fast enough.
One of Jeremy's favorite animals is the elephant. When he saw it for real the only thing he could do was observe, taking it all in. The kids were so excited that we could hardly get there fast enough.
I love going to the zoo myself. I'm always fascinated at the different animals and the way God created them.
After the zoo we went across the way to the PlayLand Fun Park and played in the water. It's so cool 'cause it's free to go in. If you want to go on any of the rides there are tickets you have to buy, but in this heat all the kids wanted to do was GET WET!
I just had to include this photo 'cause it turned out pretty awesome (check out the sunglasses):

Fun! Looks like a great zoo b/c the animals look so close up!! And having the splash park there afterwards is the best!
I didn't know there was a place to play in the water at playland?! That must be new. We have definitely got to check it out now, since I have been promising that we would go to the zoo after Elliana got home and now she's home!
I love all these pictures of Jeremy with your family. He fits right in and has such a great smile!
