Prep for Easter Idea #1

http://ww1.prweb.com/prfiles/2006/12/01/486422/SOMPROD.jpg

How are you preparing for Easter?

Today we have started our preperation by popping in our first CD of

The Story of the Messiah

a 6 CD set by Sine Ministries

It takes the 4 Gospels and puts them together chronologically in a dramatic audio presentation.  My Mom gave it to us a couple years ago and we loved how it painted full picture of Christ's coming, death and resurrection.  It was easier when we homeschooled because we would listen to it whenever we were in the car.  Now that they are in school all day those moments are less.  But we're going to give it a try... maybe we'll have to listen to it before bed a couple times also.

Please leave comments if you have any ideas or suggestions that you or your family have liked.

Love this Jen! I want to get those! Our family is hooked on listening to anything dramatized on CD (Narnia, radio theater, adventures in odyssey) Thanks for sharing- I am always looking for ideas for ways to make holidays extra meaningful with my family.

This post reminds me of something we used to do when the kids were little. We made those resurrection buns and would tell the story of Easter while we made them and then in the morning the "tombs" were empty! They always got a kick out of it.

Last year we used a lot of Noel Piper's ideas and read specific scriptures while we lit one white candle every night during the week leading up to Easter. On Good Friday all of the candles go out and they stay out until Sunday morning and then you light them all and read about the resurrection! It was really good and your post reminded me that I need to get that out again!

Thanks for sharing- I would love to hear more ideas! :)
