SNOW DAY
This was Jeremy's first time going up to the snow. All the way up the mountain he kept saying, "I am so excited!"
It was a beautiful, sunny day.
It was just a short escapade. Only a couple hours. But that was the perfect amount of time for what we wanted to enjoy without pushing ourselves to the limit (....and before we were too wet and grumpy and frozen). :)
the beginnings of a snow man:
My camera didn't pick up the snow man very well.
But it turned out AWESOME!
It ended up looking like an old woman from the Muppets. Big eyes, that bulged out of it's face, a big nose, ears and chin, a grumpy frown, and a crown.
Who says a snow man has to be the traditional kind?!
What do you do when you remember everything but the sleds?
Andrew paved out a path for the kids to slide down the hill on their rears.
They had a great time!
Then they all decided to go down together on a train (Dad).
Thankfully there wasn't a train wreck just a pile on top of Dad at the bottom of the hill.
Andrew pummeling Jeremy with snow.
I know it's hard to tell if Jeremy is having fun, but
he LOVED the snow ball fights.
He has a little competitive spirit in him, as soon as he realized the game, he went all out!
Andrew pummeling Joshua!
Joshua had been "asking for it" for a long time. He kept throwing snow balls at Andrew as teasers. Then, when Joshua wasn't looking, Andrew tackled him.
Andrew is such a fun guy. He is very involved, helpful and he has great ideas.
That day my head wasn't feeling good at all.
(These headaches can't stop me from doing things...life goes on. I usually just have to "get through" the painful times and hope that it lightens up). Being out in the cold air helped, so once I was outside it was bearable. But the drive up and back were really difficult.
These are the memories the kid's will remember. It is worth every ounce of effort.
Family time.
